Question: Can Legal Documents Express give me legal advice?

Answer:  No.  Beware of any legal document preparation service that offers advice.  Legal Documents Express is a Licensed Document Assistant service and is only permitted to assist you in completing forms. 

Question:  Do I need to hire an attorney to process my Family Law case?

Answer:  You are not required to hire an attorney and you may represent yourself in Family Court. If you know your rights and understand all the issues presented by your case, Legal Documents Express can help you fill out and process your forms. 

However, if you are not sure of your rights and you do not know all of the issues presented by your case, you should consult with or hire an attorney. State law prohibits Legal Documents Express from providing legal advice.

Question:  The other party and I already have an agreement.  Do we still have to go to court?

Answer:  No.  A judge can review an agreement between you and the other party and if appropriate, that judge can approve and sign that agreement.  If you already have an agreement, Legal Documents Express can help you submit that agreement for a judge to review and approve.

Question: What services does Legal Documents Express provide?

Answer:  Legal Documents Express is a low cost alternative to hiring an attorney to process your your routine legal matters.

Where required, Legal Documents Express can also file forms on your behalf.  We understand that your time is valuable and that you may not be able stand in long lines at the courthouse.
